PVC unions: disconnect a section without ever sawing your network
The PVC pressure union is the clever three-piece fitting, with a central swivel nut you loosen by hand or with a wrench. Its purpose is unique: to isolate and separate a section so you can service it, replace a pump or a filter, without cutting the pipe. Choosing the right PVC union
- Place a union on either side of equipment to be serviced (pump, filter, chlorinator).
- Check the seal is present and in good condition before tightening.
- Tighten the nut by hand only, so you do not crush the O-ring.
