Skimmer basket

Skimmer basket: the right size to protect your pump

The skimmer basket holds back leaves, insects and debris before they reach the pump: it's your first line of defence. Cracked or warped, it lets through what damages the impeller. At Piscine-SAV you'll find the basket in the right dimensions for your skimmer, whatever the brand. Unsure of the model? Send us the reference or a photo and our experts identify the compatible basket. Fast delivery throughout Europe.

Our skimmer basket range

  • Hayward-compatible baskets: in the exact dimensions of the most common Hayward skimmers.
  • Weltico-compatible baskets: baskets suited to Weltico design and standard skimmers.
  • AstralPool-compatible baskets: spare parts for AstralPool ranges and equivalents.
  • Reinforced universal baskets: robust solutions when the original brand is no longer available.
  • Above-ground and handled baskets: formats for above-ground pool skimmers, easy to empty.

Choosing the right basket

  • The skimmer brand: each maker has its own dimensions; note the name marked on the skimmer or its lid.
  • The diameter and height: measure the original basket, especially the top diameter and total height.
  • If in doubt: send us a photo and the dimensions and we'll identify the right basket for you.

The Piscine-SAV technical tip: empty the basket regularly, but never leave it out. Without a basket, leaves and hair go straight to the pump and eventually jam the impeller: a basket costing a few euros protects a far more expensive pump.
