The PVC pressure coupler does a simple, essential job: joining two pipes of the same diameter, end to end, with a fixed glued joint. It is the basic straight fitting to extend a line or repair a cut section. Unlike a union it is not removable, and unlike a reducer it does not change the diameter: it simply aligns two identical pipes.
