Threaded PVC fittings
Threaded PVC fittings: the screwed joint that comes apart
The threaded PVC fitting relies on a thread rather than glue. Its purpose: to create a screwed, removable joint, or to bridge PVC and metal (brass, steel, appliances). It is the ideal solution wherever a joint must unscrew, or when connecting a pump, a valve or a meter with a standard thread. Our Piscine-SAV experts guide you between male and female BSP threads.
Our range of threaded PVC fittings
- Double-male nipple: it links two female parts with a thread on each side.
- Male thread to glue: one threaded side, the other glued onto PVC pipe.
- Female thread to glue: it receives a male threaded part and glues onto the network.
- Threaded reducer: it changes thread size between two screwed elements.
Choosing the right threaded PVC fittings
- Identify the thread type: male (external) or female (internal).
- Check the thread pitch, usually BSP expressed in inches.
- Have PTFE tape or hemp ready for a durable seal.
The Piscine-SAV technical tip: a screwed fitting is defined by its diameter AND its male or female thread. Check both points; if in doubt, send us the reference and we will confirm the right threaded fitting for you.
