Filter pressure gauge
Sand filter pressure gauge: read at a glance when to backwash
A single dial, and you know exactly when your sand filter needs a backwash: that's the whole point of the pressure gauge. Pressure under control means efficient filtration, a protected pump and water that stays clear effortlessly. At Piscine-SAV you'll find the gauge suited to your filter's thread and outlet, without confusing it with an ordinary plumbing gauge. Unsure about the connection? Send us a photo of the old one and our experts confirm the reference. Fast delivery throughout Europe.
Our range of pressure gauges
- Glycerine-filled gauges: the needle stays steady despite the pump's vibrations.
- Dry gauges: the economical option for a simple, direct replacement.
- Rear or bottom outlet: depending on whether the connection is at the back or underneath the dial.
- Fittings and adapters: 1/8" or 1/4" threads to fit your valve or filter.
- Seal and PTFE kits: for a watertight fit with no rework after installation.
Choosing the right gauge
- The thread: note the thread size, most often 1/8" or 1/4" on pool filters.
- The outlet position: rear or bottom, so the dial stays easy to read once fitted.
- The pressure range: a 0-4 bar model covers the vast majority of sand filters.
The Piscine-SAV technical tip: note the reading just after a backwash, with a clean filter. As soon as the needle climbs 0.3 to 0.5 bar above that value, it's the reliable signal that it's time to run another backwash.
