Pool winterizing: the accessories to get through winter without damage

Frost can damage a pool in two ways: ice pushes on the pool walls, and frozen water cracks skimmers, inlets and pipes. With the right winterizing accessories, you protect the pool and its circuit at low cost, and you avoid repairs in spring.

Choosing your accessories

• Measure the inside diameter of each inlet and each pipe before choosing a plug.
• For floats, count according to the size of the pool: about 18 floats for an 8 x 4 m pool.
