A complete replacement valve

The multi-port valve is the control unit for the sand filter.
When it leaks, is stiff, or no longer holds its positions, it must be replaced.
This Peraqua SM20-3 model replaces the original 2" side-mounted valve, for example on the Jupiter filter manufactured before 2008.

The 6 positions + winterization

• 1 - Filtration: normal operation.
• 2 - Wash (backwash): cleans the sand; water drains to the sewer.
• 3 - Rinsing: compacts the sand after washing.
• 4 - Drain: Drains the pool to the sewer without passing through the filter.
• 5 - Circulation: Water returns to the pool without passing through the filter.
• 6 - Closed: no water flow.
• Winterization mode (snowflake): Opens the valve for winter.

Always turn off the pump before changing the position (reminder printed on the cover).

Connections and Equipment

Labeled ports

Each port is marked on the valve body: “pump” (pump inlet), “return / pool” (return to the pool), and “canal / waste” (sewer).
These ports are 2-inch threaded: screw a 2" threaded fitting into them; do not glue a tube inside.

Valve Features

• Transparent flush sight glass on the sewer outlet: you can see when the water clears up.
• Mounting location for a pressure gauge; install with its O-ring.
• Cover secured by 10 screws, featuring the new Peraqua sealing system.
• Maximum operating pressure: 3.5 bar.

• Center-to-center distance between the “pump” and “return/pool” ports: approximately 110 mm (72 mm horizontally, 81 mm vertically).
