PVC Double-Union Ball Valve, Ø 50 mm, Solvent-Cured, PN 16 - CH Aquaram images
This CH Aquaram ball valve opens and closes a water circuit with a quarter-turn.
It is installed on a 50 mm outer diameter pressure-rated PVC pipe: the pipe is glued inside the valve’s two fittings.
In a swimming pool, it isolates the pump, filter, or heat pump during maintenance of the filtration system.
It is also suitable for ponds, hot tubs, and PVC pressure irrigation systems.
Its two union nuts can be unscrewed by hand.
The valve can be disassembled without cutting the pipe, for cleaning or replacement.
PVC-U body, adjustable HDPE ball seats, EPDM O-rings, and a blue handle.
Nominal pressure: PN 16 (16 bar).
This ball valve is used to shut off or regulate the flow of water in a 50 mm PVC pressurized system.

The valve has two union nuts, one on each side.
When these two nuts are unscrewed, the valve body slides out of the line without cutting the pipe.
Cleaning, inspecting, or replacing the valve takes just a few minutes.
The ball seats are made of HDPE and are adjustable.
This adjustment compensates for wear and restores a tight seal.
The PVC-U body and EPDM O-rings are resistant to treated pool water.
The valve withstands a nominal pressure of 16 bar (PN 16), well above the pressure of a filtration system.
ℹ️ Good to know: The valve diameter is the outer diameter of the PVC pipe.
A 50 mm pipe therefore requires a 50 mm valve. The internal water passage is 40 mm (DN 40).
This valve is a complete valve: it is not intended to replace just the central body of another valve.
Cut the pipe straight and remove any burrs.
Clean the pipe and the inside of the fittings with a PVC cleaner.
Apply PVC pressure adhesive, then push the pipe into the fitting without twisting it.
Allow the adhesive to cure completely before pressurizing the system.
⭐ Tip from the team: Before gluing, unscrew the union nuts and remove both fittings from the valve.
Glue the fittings to the pipe separately, then reassemble the valve once the glue is dry.
This ensures that the seals and the ball never come into contact with the glue.
